"God Made Every Plant..." primer coloring page

Description of The Coloring Page: scripture, "The Lord Is Thy Keeper" is from Psalms 121:5, mother and child, chair
The characteristics of primer coloring pages designed to teach children from ages 1-7:
  • Large, typeface/font, often all Capitals or all Lower Case letters are used separately in primer coloring pages.
  • Letters used may also be colored, this helps the child to remember each letter's shape.
  • Pictures are very simply drawn.
  • Primarily objects and people are used to illustrate ideas, although patterns are included in fewer examples.
  • Generous spacing between the drawn elements is included so that children who have trouble coloring will still be able to color between these elements.
  • Generous spacing also provides young children the opportunity to practice coloring more because it takes them longer to fill in the space.
  • Very simple and short memory verses are frequently used in Bible primer pages.
The Sunday School Lesson included with the primer coloring page:
GOD THE LOVING FATHER AND HIS CHILDREN
Topic I. PROVIDING FOR HIS CHILDREN'S NEEDS (Continued)
Lesson 4. SUMMER CLOTHING
Genesis 2:4,5
  1. Paste a small piece of cotton goods on the blossom depicted in the coloring page above.
  2. Find Psalm 104:24 in The Bible and then fill in the blank spaces below:
O L_____, how manifold are thy _______! in _______ hast thou ______ them ____: the _____ is full of thy ________.

(O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.)

Memory Prayer in Verse:
"For health, and food, and clothes,
I thank Thee, Father kind;
I cannot count Thy mercies o'er,
So many gifts I find."

Note to Parents. The lesson for today continues the thought of God's loving care in providing clothing for us. Talk to your little ones about their favorite cloths:
  • What do we wear to keep warm?
  • What do we wear to keep dry?
  • What kinds of clothes do we wear to swim in?
Watch and Read More: Parents are commissioned by God to care for their children properly.  Talk about the safest way to dress and why with your children. (Proverbs 22:6,  Mark 9:37 and Psalm 32:7)
