Edith Greet's Bethel Foundation

Watch the amazing life story of missionary Edith Greet. She was an orphan brought up by Salvationists in America. She journeyed to India in 1947 to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to the poor and unwanted of Kerala. She remained there for the rest of her life to teach, care and sometimes preach to orphans in India. Her schools alone now serve over 1500 students.

  2. Edith was a very good friend of my grandmother, who lived in Michigan (USA). I can still remember my grandmother packing up boxes of miscellaneous items to mail to Edith, in India. And I remember Edith's visits: the clothing she wore and the gifts she brought were unique. Amazing lady, who made many sacrifices for the betterment of children and others around her.

  3. We have something in common, Kip. My grandmother had a curtesy Aunt who served with a missionary named Lottie Moon. That adopted 'Aunt' had no other family and the unusual tokens she collected in China now grace the walls and cabinets of our family home. I fear we are some of the last to remember the incredible lives of these missionary women . . . May God never forget those who gave their entire lives for the sake of so many far away from home.
