Resurrección
En los sepulcros de los secos granos
duermen espigas é inflamadas rosas,
y yacen las divinas mariposas
en la negra hediondez de los gusanos.
Dios, con la luz de sus candentes manos.
preñó de vídas las fecundas fosas,
y hace de ellas surgir seres y cosas
al son de sus acentos soberanos.
Dice ¡vibrad! y engendra los latidos;
dice ¡cantad! y vacia los nidos;
¡resucitad! y enárcanse las palmas;
¡desheláos! y ruedan las corrientes;
¡resucitad! y estallan las simientes;
¡amad, creed! y enciéndense las almas.

Resurrection (translation)
In the graves of dry grains
they sleep ears and inflamed roses,
and lie the divine butterflies
in the black stink of worms.
God, with the light of his burning hands.
he impregnated the fertile pits,
and makes of them arise beings and things
to the sound of their sovereign accents.
It says vibrate! and begets beats;
says sing! and empty the nests;
Resurrect! and clap your hands;
Defrosts! and the currents roll;
Resurrect! and the seeds burst;
Love, believe! and enlighten souls.
