"The Lambs Are For Thy Clothing" primer coloring page

Description of The Coloring Page: scripture, "The Lambs Are For Thy Clothing" Proverbs 27:26, young boy dressed in winter clothing, cap, ice skates, winter, pond, trees

The characteristics of primer coloring pages designed to teach children from ages 1-7:
  • Large, typeface/font, often all Capitals or all Lower Case letters are used separately in primer coloring pages.
  • Letters used may also be colored, this helps the child to remember each letter's shape.
  • Pictures are very simply drawn.
  • Primarily objects and people are used to illustrate ideas, although patterns are included in fewer examples.
  • Generous spacing between the drawn elements is included so that children who have trouble coloring will still be able to color between these elements.
  • Generous spacing also provides young children the opportunity to practice coloring more because it takes them longer to fill in the space.
  • Very simple and short memory verses are frequently used in Bible primer pages.
The Sunday School Lesson included with the primer coloring page:
GOD THE LOVING FATHER AND HIS CHILDREN
Topic I. PROVIDING FOR HIS CHILDREN'S NEEDS (Continued)
Lesson 5. WINTER CLOTHING
Proverbs 27: 26
QUESTIONS:
  1. Watch and discuss where did the storekeeper get the cloth?
  2. Watch and discuss where did the weaver get the yarn?
  3. Watch and discuss where did the farmer get the wool?
  4. Who made the wool to grow?
  5. Who then gives us our clothing?
Memory Prayer:
"Father of all, in heaven above,
We thank Thee for Thy love;
Our homes, our food, and all we wear
Tell of Thy loving care."

Note to Parents.  Our activities today center around the topic of how God provides sheep to our people who grow thick wool for the farmer to harvest. This wool then is made into yarn and fabric that is made into clothing for us to wear and keep warm in. Find more references to this process and share them with your children. Take them to a local sewing shop and show them the bolts of fabric and yarn on the shelves. Talk about how these products come from sheep. The deeper lesson taught here has to do with understanding interdependence. This process begins with God's creation and ends with us.

St. Peter's Window coloring page...

Description of The Coloring Page: Saint Peter holding the keys to the kingdom, stained glass window, church architecture

Saint Peter (Syriac/Aramaic: ܫܸܡܥܘܿܢ ܟܹ݁ܐܦ݂ܵܐ, Shemayon Keppa, Hebrew: שמעון בר יונהShim'on bar Yona, Greek: Πέτρος Petros, Coptic: ⲡⲉⲧⲣⲟⲥ, Latin: Petrus; r. AD 30; d. between AD 64 and 68), also known as Simon Peter, Simeon, or Simon ), according to the New Testament, was one of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus Christ, leaders of the early Christian Great Church. Pope Gregory I called him repeatedly the "Prince of the Apostles". According to Catholic teaching, Jesus promised Peter in the "Rock of My Church" dialogue in Matthew 16:18 a special position in the Church. He is traditionally counted as the first Bishop of Rome‍—‌or pope‍—‌and also by Eastern Christian tradition as the first Patriarch of Antioch. The ancient Christian churches all venerate Peter as a major saint and as the founder of the Church of Antioch and the Roman Church, but differ in their attitudes regarding the authority of his present-day successors (the primacy of the Bishop of Rome). St. Timothy's Window coloring page

Description of The Coloring Page: St. Timothy, stained glass window, arch shaped, halo, martyr

Timothy (Greek: Τιμόθεος; Timótheos, meaning "honouring God" or "honoured by God") was an early Christian evangelist and the first first-century Christian bishop of Ephesus, who tradition relates died around the year AD 97.

Timothy was from the Lycaonian city of Lystra in Asia Minor, born of a Jewish mother who had become a Christian believer, and a Greek father. The Apostle Paul met him during his second missionary journey and he became Paul’s companion and co-worker along with Silas. The New Testament indicates that Timothy traveled with Saint Paul, who was also his mentor. Paul entrusted him with important assignments. He is addressed as the recipient of the First and Second Epistles to Timothy. Read more...
