I do not need to wait.
I need not wait for special times
To speak to God in prayer;
Nor do I always have to kneel
To feel that He is there.
No matter what the time or place,
I only need to be
Just full of faith that God is near,
And He will succor me.
God's love for me is not alone
In times of joy and power;
It glows with light and comfort through
Each darkened day or hour.
In times of work, or thought, or play,
Through hours of pain or care,
God lives with constant love, and hears
Each earnest wish and prayer.
